Antigua and Barbuda Travel Advisory as of 29 MAY 2020

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda will open its borders in a phased approach effective 1 June 2020, when the VC Bird International Airport will begin accepting international and regional air traffic. During this period, the State will be working on a combination of screening, testing, monitoring and other measures to mitigate the risk of importing any new cases of COVID-19 into the country. Additionally, the State is also implementing measures for the quick detection of any imported cases. This strategy is intended to protect and safeguard the health of both residents and visitors to Antigua and Barbuda.
During Phase I, several protocols will be implemented as follows:
- All hospitality accommodations to include hotels, resorts, villas and home rentals must satisfy the stipulations of the Ministry of Health and be certified prior to reopening to welcome visitors
- All arriving passengers must have a mask in their possession for use on disembarkation, which must be worn in all public areas throughout the duration of their stay in Antigua and Barbuda
- All arriving passengers must complete a health declaration form and will be subjected to screening and temperature checks by Port Health Authorities, upon arrival in Antigua and Barbuda
- All arriving passengers will be monitored for COVID-19 in accordance with guidelines of the Quarantine Authority
- All ground transportation operators will be required to be certified and trained prior to the implementation of new sanitation and social distancing passenger transportation protocols
This latest travel advisory replaces all previous travel advisories issued by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda
