Reminder: Machine-Readable Passport Recall

Please note that passport on the left is currently being recalled. The passport on the right is the new e-passport which has been issued since 2017. The bottom picture is what the first page of the e-Passport looks like. Please also take note of the identifiable chip symbol encircled on the e-passport  If your passport does not look like this then you will be required to apply for a new passport.

The High Commission reminds the public that all machine-readable passports will be no longer valid after 30 June 2020. As such, all citizens of Antigua and Barbuda with the machine-readable passport are required to obtain an e-passport through the renewal procedure. Do note that only the Antigua and Barbuda e-passport will be valid for travel as of 1 July 2020. We would like to thank everyone thus far who responded to recall and successfully received their new e-passport via the High Commission.

The High Commission encourages holders of machine-renewable passports to apply for the new e-passports before the expiration date.

For passport holders in the United Kingdom wishing to obtain the new e-passport, you may visit our website’s Passport Application Page, click here to view the requirements and download the application form.
