Antigua and Barbuda – October 17, 2024 – The Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda will lead a delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM)
in Samoa from 23rd – 26th October, 2024. Accompanied by Hon. Maria Browne, Minister of Housing, Works and Urban Development, Her Excellency Karen-Mae Hill, High Commissioner for Antigua and
Barbuda in London, the Prime Minister will engage in several high-level meetings and bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation among Commonwealth nations.
During the event, Prime Minister Browne will address critical issues, including climate change, sustainable development, and implementation of the Oceans Declaration. Prime Minister Browne’s participation in CHOGM underscores his commitment to advancing the interests of Antigua and Barbuda on the global stage and contributing to the collective efforts of the Commonwealth to build a more resilient and prosperous future for all Member States
Additionally, Prime Minister Browne will advocate for Antigua and Barbuda to host the next CHOGM in 2026, showcasing the nation’s readiness to contribute to important dialogues among member states.
