Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Increase to 15

The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment has received confirmation of six (6) new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). This brings the total number of persons tested for COVID-19 to forty (40) with fifteen (15) being positive and twenty (20) cases being negative. The results from five (5) persons are pending receipt from CARPHA.

Of the newly confirmed cases four (4) are males and two (2) are females. Two are hospitalised at the Mount St John Medical Centre. The remaining four (4) have mild disease and are isolated at home.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and the Environment continues with aggressive contact tracing, in an effort to ascertain and mitigate further spread of the virus.
